I am a postdoctoral researcher in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Würzburg. For my PhD on “Rituals and Interactive Technologies: Designing Extraordinary Experiences”, I was recently recognized with an outstanding dissertation award.
In my research, I explore the rich, unexpected ways people engage with interactive technologies and co-create alternative technological futures together with those affected. My research follows a human-first, technology-agnostic approach, rooted in participatory design and speculative methods, and commonly involves diverse collaborators from both academia and civil society.
In the past, I have been visiting researcher at Open Lab, Newcastle University, and the Cognitive Engineering Research Group at the University of Queensland. In diverse research projects, I contributed to co-designing technologies for local civic participation (ForDemocracy) and explored new forms of technologically-supported interreligious education (CoTeach). In my recently acquired research project SoulMate, I co-explore the potential of companion technologies to support young adults in navigating existential questions.
