I am currently a UX researcher at Meta Reality Labs in Zürich, supporting the Codec Avatars program. Before, I was part of the HCI Group at the University of Hamburg, where I contributed to the PRESENCE project, focusing on AI-supported Intelligent Virtual Humans.
I hold a PhD on “Individual-, System-, and Application-Related Factors Influencing the Perception of Virtual Humans in Virtual Environments” from the University of Würzburg. During my PhD, I received the prestigious Meta PhD Research Fellowship for “AR/VR Future Technologies”. As part of the HCI Group, I also contributed to the ViTraS project, aiming to explore the modulation of body perception and behavior patterns through XR.
My academic background includes degrees in Human-Computer Systems (BSc) and Human-Computer Interaction (MSc) from the University of Würzburg, as well as a research visit at the Cognitive Engineering Research Group at the University of Queensland. I also have a background in electronic engineering and worked for a couple of years as a hardware and software engineer in R&D.
